My visit with Dad was farewell, as I thought it would be. He fought Parkinson's Disease for 23 years. He was tired and ready to rest. I am grateful he gave me the opportunity to say goodbye in our quiet way. He passed on the 31st of August, 5 days after I last saw him.
My life goes on, blown around by hurricane winds. The part we shared together is over now.
I cannot begin to sum up a life in a blog post, or a relationship, he was my Dad and I miss him.

Always such a difficult time, so many mixed emotions. Thinking of you.
I am very sorry for your loss.
I think "he was my Dad and I miss him" sums up all that needs to be said.
I have complete empathy for all you are going through right now and my heart aches at the thought of it.

I am so sorry for your loss. As a daughter of one with Parkinson's, I know how hard it is to watch a parent struggle. You are in my thoughts and heart.
So sorry to hear about your dad. Wishing you comfort.
Thank you
Parkinsons is hard, to watch a person erode like that, I lived away from my Dad, visiting was rare and each time I would see him was like a punch in the gut, the changes were so drastic.
Sorry to hear about your dad, and you were lucky to have seen him one last time. Hoping most of your memories of him are happy...
