Columbine 15/2 |
Today I noticed the snowdrops I planted last year were blooming.
We weathered a nor'easter this weekend, losing power for a day or so.
Finding these little flowers is a hopeful thing

there is something to be said for a day without media... an enforced break in the constant influx creates some space to dream and/or nap.

Your project is rock solid commentary and very beautiful. Something about stone is equal to the history it honors. The storm was mostly wind and downed trees in the New York region, snow some places and lots of train and plane disruption. There are still folks without power. Here in Manhattan, high wind, rain and no loss of power. Lovely snowdrops!
media does take up space. noticed how much more i have now that i don't do fb.
nice looking stones.
This post called to mind a recent segment on the PBS Newshour which profiled the town of Dunblane in Scotland. The snowdrop is the symbol of "a parents movement which led to a nationwide ban on private ownership of handguns."
