Further Adventures in Haori Making

Yay! I got back to the actual construction of the garment today...
And promptly discovered that two facing pieces are AWOL
along with the pattern piece to cut them...
crap
This is to be expected since this project has been shifted around my studio room for a year or so,
frankly I expect they are here somewhere under one of my UFO piles.
Believe it or not I actually think it will cause me less aggravation to fudge them than to try to find them. They are just rectangles, I will simply have to measure to see how long to make them.
Ha! wish me luck, anyhow if I fail I can always tear the room apart and see if I can't find them.

Lotsa Knots

Hooray! I have finished the decorative stitch, which isn't very evident in the photo, but take my word for it, it is there.

and tied off all the loose ends... now back to the sewing.

Still Stitchin'

Its a damn shame that the stitches really don't show up in these photos very well, this bit is the center of the back. The whitish lines are actually metallic thread.

Threads

Still finding moments to stitch the metallic decorative stitch on the haori. This will eventually be the neck band. I wish the shibori was more centered on this piece of fabric.
