Since today was consumed by a Bruins game (and traveling to and from said game),
and since the work I have been doing has not significantly progressed in any particular way since yesterday and is therefore impossible to talk about,
and since my friend Shawn is having a big opening on Monday I am simply going to post this link

The Sort of NIght...

It's a good night to sit by the fire, on the warm side for early spring but damp enough to make it a treat. I brought out the buttons and thread and hunkered down this evening.

Sometimes you don't realize how far you have come until you glance backwards...

Add A Little Brown

Finished the grey running stitch on the squares and now I'm going back in with brown stitching on the diagonal, I wanted to use maroon but I didn't think Ihad enough to finish it and I'm really trying to use stuff I have around the house rather than buy new things.

It seems every one in this country is trying to do that same thing right now, use what is to hand and not spend too frivolously. I actually don't think that its such a bad thing on the whole. It makes the moments when you do treat yourself more special, and more noticed.

Some Stitching

After a bit of waffling I finally decided that the burnt shibori looked best with black behind it. It just seemed a bit of a waste to cover over the golden piece... I will find another use for that. To attach it I settled on grey running stitches along the grid. The stitched lines seem to float over the shibori.

In other news our puppy has a clean bill of health! She is finally done with the prednisone and the last blood work was fine. I am so happy that she came through it. We are still bringing her into work each day but now its just because we like to.

I want to show off my friend Brian Fox getting some coverage on the local news. Brian is a wonderful artist (and person) I was lucky enough to work with him for a number of years. He decided to try his chances as a portrait artist 5 or 6 years ago and it is wonderful to see his career evolve. He specializes in sports figures and celebrities (and the occasional racehorse!)
