Impervious

Well the answer to the question "Can a rock be dyed?" is...

No
(at least not this one, this way)

The cotton gauze dyed as expected, having a hard time photographing the transparency tonight.
More small questions will be asked tomorrow...

    Hi - I assume the markings are tie-dyed? It looks strong and will be able to be used to good effect. I think tie-dye marks are one of my favourites. G

    yeah I've been thinking that I can get a dyed effect with paint,I will be trying it soon

    yes the fabric was pleated then bound, there actually is a repeat pattern of sorts but the photo doesn't show it.
    I love a tie dyed mark too :)
