I have slowly been coming back to the act of making things.
As tempted as I am to give long explanations of where I've been I think tonight I will just share the progress I've made on this piece.
I have been trying to get a little done each night, and slowly but surely I'm getting somewhere.
I have some special plans for this one when its done...
Something a little daring!
But for now I will snuggle up on the couch with Larry and stitch a little more.
love how you got the 4 pieces to meet in the middle to make a new pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanna
ReplyDeleteDuring jude's CWB class I decided to focus on how I could use my dyes without losing the intensity of the patterns, it was a pleasant surprise to find the new patterns that began to emerge as the strips interacted
yes, and how the stitching drives the eye toward those 4 pieces
ReplyDeleteNice to have you back :-)
ReplyDeleteHi neki
ReplyDeleteI really wanted the stitching to reinforce the dye pattern and I think it does, but my god is it taking a long time to get it done. I am determined though, and I have a deadline
Hi Carol! Aww thanks (blushing)
wasn't sure if anyone would remember me :)
I will be sticking around and a little more consistent, just getting through some stickiness here.
I love the tessalation quality to this piece. Really beautiful!
ReplyDeletelike the 4 squares pieced like that, what a great idea and subtle but interesting colours too, smashing!
