Farmers Market Sunday
We have a new Farmers Market in our area this summer. It is small, maybe 5 or 6 stalls, totally convenient (being right down the road) and it is held on Sundays when I can get there. I like to go before I do the weekly grocery shopping. I can buy local and then get the other stuff I need in one trip. You are never sure what you will find when you get there.
This morning's haul:
English Cuke
Fresh Tomatoes!!!
Bunch of Rooted Basil
8 Perfectly Ripe Peaches
Blueberry Cinnamon Bread Croutons
Getting such beautiful food is inspiring me to try some different recipes and combinations. Today's first experiment
Plain Greek Yogurt with fresh slices of Peach, Fresh Basil, and a touch of Honey, served with Blueberry Cinnamon Bread Croutons
Lar said it was interesting which might be a positive review or might not hard to say...
Later it will be some of those tomatoes and cuke with leftover roasted corn, fresh cilantro, and diced red pepper... maybe a little red onion, it depends on what I can harvest in the fridge.
Yum!
