Under Construction

Twins
These groups of stones have been patiently waiting for awhile now.
The top pic is of the "twins" 2 round stones of the same granite-like materiel
(possibly granite)
I have some thoughts on the design, and I think they will be gifted to a friend who has a birthday coming up...
The lower pic is of a little tribe slowly developing.
Tribe
I have joined the Wickford Art Association this year and yesterday I attended my first meeting of the Photography group.
A friend convinced me to give it a try...
I am hoping to improve my photo skills.
It was fun to do something art related in a group again,
I am currently pretty isolated (as an artist) and I'm hoping to be able to alleviate that to some extent and perhaps find some sort of a tribe for myself.

Assorted Thoughts

 Winter is disappearing
The first flower has emerged in the yard
A small tribe is taking shape in my studio
 form and colors

Prickly Creature

Fur, spines, flanges or feathers? Softly prickly like a defenseless cactus.
A strange creature has emerged.

Reality Gets Real

I seem to have the how-to-ness worked out,
It took a couple of hours to get this far,
looks like I will be at this for awhile.

Idea-Reality

Love this idea

This quick sketch has had me going batty, trying to figure out how to make it happen.
Getting those straight lines on the curves and getting them to STAY put has required alot of engineering... tension, anchoring and glue,
lots of knots, angles and more glue. it will be ready for the next step when all of that glue has dried.

OMG

Something Old, Something New

Day/Night

Old rust, old stone.
New thoughts...
A circle to contain time, the concept of it, divided day/night, the hours of a day.

Breaking My Rules

I have a distaste for rainbows, a strong distaste.
20+ years working as a tiedye designer has left me cold on them,
I still love color just not in rainbow form.

I surprised myself with this one with its cheerful rainbow ribbon
somehow it breaks my rules and I like it for that!
