A Crazy What if...

I decided to join in on Jude's What If... Crazy Quilt along. Beautiful work is being done on the flickr site (I just checked it out). I'm not a quilter, I figure you have to have made some sort of an attempt at one to claim the title, and I never have, but since its all about stretching the boundries I thought what if I gave it a shot?

So here goes...

What if I tried to use some of the bibs and bobs from heat setting tests?

What if I combined them with a base made from home decor brocades and ribbon bits?

What if I used beads as well as stitching as embellishment?

still alot of stitching to go but its a start.

i think this is great, love the fan motif and how it is echoed in different elements. i actually think it fits quite well into the crazy quilt thing.

I think it's marvelous, breaking out of the mold is fun. Your fabrics are lovely.

Hi all,
Im glad you like the fabrics lorie m and you are right breaking out of the mold really is fun
jane this is a really fun project being a "whatif" sort of takes the pressure off so I can simply try things
hi jeanne I do sometimes play whatif but sometimes I forget to keep it playful and I start to take it far too seriously (then it become a dire game of whatif it doesn't?)
