Karamatsu Shibori

This is called Karamatsu Shibori or larch pattern
I'm really fond of it but I haven't had especially good success with it
I thought I would try it again today.
The end result should be a row of circular radiating motifs...

Lets see what happens.

what kind of thread do you use?

I generally use a good strong poly sewing thread nothing too special. sometimes I will use an upholstery thread if I really want to pull on it It also helps if the fabric is a nice tight weave otherwise you risk having the thread slip through.
