Results of the burnout.
The flame traveled along the pleat edges so in places the fabric is barely connected and one corner is completely detached.
This wasn't quite what I had planned, but I kind of like the result
I think it might be interesting to play with stitching it to a background (not green)
Maybe a red ground color... or magenta.

It doesn't look bad in this photo does it? the red is a little redder than it appears here...
I'm considering a scarlet, or a turquoise, or (of course) rusty orange. Nothing settled yet.

I'd go for a rusty orange. But it looks very cool!

Some interesting results. I always find it fascinating that we learn so much more when something doesn't go as planned, then when it all runs smoothly. I like that green background, though.
